Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
help!
My husband is accused of sales of oxycontin. Also habitual 2nd offense and also sales in a park. He is facing 20-30 years. He was offered a plea, and plead not guilty. They upped his bond to 50,000 from 6,500. He was suffering from mental issues and was admitted to the mental ward. He missed his pretrial because he was in mental ward. Because of this the jugde ordered a bond revocation hearing His laywer told him to go to the bond revocation hearing but failed at the last minute to tell us not to go. He was suppose to go to menal hearing instead. Now his bond is revoked and he is in jail on 150,000. His laywer wont help any more because he wants more $. Was his laywer at fault for not informing us of where we were suppose to go? He is now in jail and now has no laywer! We did not even know there was another hearing!!!! but he bamed us for being in the wrong place at wrong time. You would think it is a lawyers responsibility to make sure his client is where he is suppose to be. Also did he not tell us where he was suppose to be because we owe $? Today is the day all this happened. Please HELP!!!!

Re: help!
Your husband needs an experienced and aggressive attorney on his team. My recommendation is that you determine whether you can afford this. If so, we'd be pleased to set an appointment with an attorney from our criminal defense team. We practice statewide and have dealt with similiar issues in the past.
