Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
My husband has a cop that thinks he stole something and is harassing him and wants him to take a lie detecter my husband says he will but he wants all the other people to take it also and the cop says no that they dont need to. The cop says he will call my husband in when to take it cause he says it takes two weeks to set it up. Do you recommend taking this and if so should we gat a lawyer to sit on the test?

Do not talk to the police without an attorney present. Seems that the police officer is trying to make your husband make admissions.... We seldom allow our clients take police lie detector tests. There are limited situations where that may be an option. Your husband should consult with us in this regard. Contact the Attorneys of Michigan Law Firm. (888) 484.9349 or (248) 865.4700. Ask for Megan. Let her know that you posted a question on Lawguru regarding your husband. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
To save everyone time, effort, and money. have no further communications with the police or anyone else . If the police had enough evidence to arrest your husband, they would have already done that.
If a warrant does issue, an attorney can advise him about the practicality of a test.
