You can order your Michigan criminal history (convictions only ... not "show me my bench warrants") through the I-CHAT feature at the Michigan State Police web site (www.michigan.gov/msp). I think it's a $10 fee with a credit card. You can also get your driving record through a Secretary of State branch office, but not on-line to my knowledge. (There's also a fee.)

There's no single method for finding out if you have a bench warrant. If you have an on-going case (ex: you have already been arraigned but might have missed a court date, or are on probation and violated terms of probation) you should check with that court and/or probation officer. Courts may treat you better if you turn yourself in rather than remaining AWOL for long perionds of time. If you are wondering if a NEW charge has been issued against you, you should check with the police department that may have investigated it. It's also possible that the prosecuting attorney might tell you ... but many will just tell you to check with the police department and/or court.

Can you get a job with a bench warrant? That depends on the prospective employer.
