Re: larsony by conversion

Larceny by Conversion occurs when a property is voluntarily transferred or delivered over to the custody of the defendant and is of sufficient monetary value to meet the felony threshold. The defendent hides or wrongfullf deprives the owner of possession of that property with the intention to defraud the owner permanently of that property without the owner's consent. In other words initially you get lawful possession but refuse to give it back when requested. Happens alot with rental cars or in rent to own situations.
