If a person is fined or asked to pay restitution for commiting fraud. Are his children liable to pay fine,in case he's not able to do so?

Generally children are not responsible to pay fines for their parents.

in india pious obligation theory mandates that children are liable to pay the debts of their father/parents. how ever it does not applicable to a fraud transaction.

in this case it is with fraud. hence his children are not liable to pay fine.
