Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
My license plate was reported by a store that someone stole from. I was not there nor did I steal. What could happen? The police are calling me. Do I have to answer them?

No you do not have to answer them. In fact, you should not speak to the police. I routinely handle police investigations where clients are suspected of wrong doing. Feel free to contact me.

No, no one has to speak to the police. Ever. DO NOT talk to the police without first consulting with a lawyer. Be proactive and start looking for an experienced criminal defense attorney.
