Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
Loitering Ticket on Parole
My boyfriend received a loitering ticket for being in a ''high drug area''. He is also on parole. They did not find anything on him and his parole officer is aware of it all. He pleaded not guilty. Should he have an attorney and could he do jail time even though his parole officer did not send him back when she found out?

Re: Loitering Ticket on Parole
Anytime you are involved in a court proceeding it is wise to retain an attorney. It sounds like your boyfriend is getting a bum deal. Although this will violate his parole, it is not something that he should go to jail for. Feel free to call me so we can discuss this matter further.
