Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
lost debit card
I lost my debit card. Fraudulent charges were authorized by my bank. One of the charges was $550 and I talked to the store manager because ID was not requested. Basically told me too bad. Can I sue the store? They even have the thief on video.

Re: lost debit card
Did you dispute the charges with the bank who you have the debit card through? The bank itself is supposed to investigate the charges and make a determination as to whether or not the charges were fraudulent. Did you file a police report? Have you put anything in writing to the store outlining the facts and demanding your money back?
You may need to retain a lawyer to recoup your money, starting with a letter to the store demanding they investigate the matter and refund your money if they were in fact negligent.
