Is making a false police report a felony of any sort?

False report of a felony crime is a felony (4 yrs and/or $2,000 fine). False report of a misdemeanor crime is a misdemeanor (93 days and/or $500). There are a few other "specific" false report charges that focus on bomb threats, terrorism, etc., which are felonies.
