Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
march of 09 i got arrested with a friend for having 2 pounds of marijuana,. they arrested us figer printed us we stayed in jail for a lil over 24 hours. then they released us with no bail or answers of what we were charged with nobody talked to us they just let us go. they also parked my truck in their parking lot and let us drive home in it gave my friend his money back also. question is is its been almost 2 years ive hired a lawyer and he cant seem to find out what they are charging me with maybe i should have gotten a better lawyer who knows but anyways we went to police precinct to get my fingerprints and record cleared i guess thats wht the lawyer said . they made us wait over an hour they couldnt find my name then they finally said they sent it to frank murphy which the lawyer didnt seem to believe. anyway i was just curious if anyone has ever came across this and what usually happens i want to hurry up and get this over with so i can find a job i have a pending felony on my background check and thats holding me up, its been a while since i had another background check but i assume its still there. Also its my first offense
