Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

From MI, got arrested in SC - what happens where?

I am a 20 yr old college student originally from Michigan. Pulled over and received a speeding ticket and an MIP on the drive down to SC for vacation, and arrested the very next night and recieved public intoxication and another MIP. Im home for the summer now in Michigan and I'd like to know a) will I recieve punishment for these offenses in Michigan? b) when can i expect those and c) what is the Michigan penalty for a 2nd offense MIP and/or a drunk in public. Will it follow SC's laws or Michigans? Lastly, can I get any of these citations reduced or expunged given a previously clean record? I've never been arrested before... I have no idea what happens. Thanks.

Michigan has no jurisdiction over your cases in South Carolina. You should hear from the SC court. I'm a little surprised that you were not given a notice to appear before you left the station. Good luck to you!
