Your driver responsiblity fee is paid at the Michigan Secretary of State.

Driver Responsibility Fees are paid at the Michigan Department of Treasury, not 'at' the Secretary of State. Further, you can apply at the Michigan Department of Treasury for a payment plan if your driver responsibility fees exceed $500.00. Then after you either pay in full or make a payment arrangements with the Department of Traesury, you should go to your local Secretary of State branch and pay "Reinstatement Fees", if any. Driver Responsibility Fees differ from Driver Responsibility Fees. Moreover, you can not pay a "Reistatement Fee" at the Secretary of State unless you first take care of your driver responsibility fees at the Michigan Department of Treasury.
