Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
Following the Michigan/ Michigan State football game I was given a ticket for "failure to obey legal order." To be clear, I was jaywalking (along with a hundred other fans) across Stadium Blvd. This ticket is a misdemeaner which is a problem since I work in the field of education. Will I need to post bail at my arrainment? If I just pay the ticket, how much will it be? I find this to be the most ridiculous ordeal. If I want to fight it, will I be able to get a court appointed attorney?
