Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
Minor in Possesion
My child is 18 with no previous record not even a traffice ticket. He has been given a ticket for Minor in Possesion. If he is found guilty is there some to have this expunged if does some kind training or community service?

There is a provision in the MIP law that allows your child (he's an adult at 18) to plead under advisement so that he will have no record if he doesn't do it again.

There are several options available that may help to protect your child's records. I recommend that you have an experienced criminal defense attorney representing your son.
