Minor in possesion

Im 16 and i recieved an MIP along with a minor in possesion of tobacco. i was wondering what the best thing to do would be and what my consequeses would be if i plea guilty and if i plea non guilty. Will insurence rates go up if its under my parents name?

Taking a Plea without having a good attorney look at your case is not in your best interest. There are several consequences as result of MIP, including probation, alcohol screening, community service, etc... jail is not one of them. But if you must plea, you ought to do get on deferral program of some sort, if available @ Court.
