Minor In Possession (MIP)

I recieved my second MIP this past weekend. I was at a banquet hall and during our Annual Fraternal Ceremony. Long Story short, the cops came and were looking for a suspect who was being Drunk & Disorderly. I fit the description, which was ( a young male, with a blue shirt, and balck slacks) 5 of us fit the description. I got picked first. I did not comitt the suspected D & D. Anywho, this happened a week before my 21st bday, and Im a Criminal Justice Major. (MIP = Bad News) I have had over 42hrs of community service since last semester, among attending a leadership retreat, as a camp facilitator. Among other minor details that show that I'm not a screw up and i do/mean good. I dont want to plea not guilty (b/c i was intozicated) I DO want to see if there is any other charge or penalty other than a fine. How whould i plea??? No contest, guilty w/ explanation???

You left out a few things.

1. Are you still on probation?

2. What did you blow on your 2nd MIP?

3. Did you take your first MIP plea under HYTA or under the MIP statute?

4. If you're that serious about becoming a police officer, why havn't you retained a lawyer for this charge?
