MIP citation 26-53 need advice

Last night I was issued an MIP in the city of East Lansing. I left a house and was stopped in the parking lot by 2 bike police. 3 of the people I was with ran, 1 began to resist arrest. I was fully cooperative with the officer and was issued a citation and was not arrested.

My question is what should I do? I have to report to a basic hearing as I understand to plead guilty or not guilty. I have learned that in the state of Michigan, you can have the MIP expunged from your record if you complete community service and attend substance abuse counseling. Any advice on how to get this deferment?

My suggestion to you is to ask the prosecuter for the deferred sentence and they will give it to you unless you have a prior record. Take advantage of the offer and make sure that is is a deferred sentence.
