Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
M.I.P, Resisting arrest, disorderly conduct
I was skipping school and drinking one day and a police officer showed up and I ran. I was charged with M.I.P., resisting arrest, and disorederly conduct. I am 17 and still in school, is it possible to not go to jail for these charges, and what would my sentence be?

Re: M.I.P, Resisting arrest, disorderly conduct
In Rochester Hills (52-3 District Court) you'll be in front of one of the three women judges. You can't go to jail on the MIP, but you can on the other two since. At 17, you are an adult under criminal law.
Resisting and Disorderly are not commonly charged separately. I'd need to know more about the facts and circumstances surrounding the arrest.
