Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
Misdemeanor - Disorderly Person
I was issued a disorderly person ticket--name removed--I was leaving a concert with friends walking down the sidewalk--name removed--Security people from the concert location drove toward us on a golf cart yelling ''get the F out of the way'' without slowing down--name removed--As I was moving away I stuck my arm out and contacted one of them on the top of the head--name removed--They stopped, got off the cart and we had a verbal exchange--name removed--I proceeded to walk away with further altercation--name removed--The security personel followed me trying to instigate an altercation--name removed--I ran until the police became involved where I immediately stopped--name removed--The security ''kids'' accussed me of throwing punches which never happened and I was issued the ticket--name removed--I have never been in trouble with the law before and have a clean record--name removed--What is a typical result when going to court over something like this--name removed--Do I really need legal representation or will my story be enough to convince a judge--name removed--Obviously I don't want a criminal conviction on my record--name removed--Please let me know your recommendation--name removed--Thank You!
