Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

Misdemeanor

Last year i wrote 2 checks within a few days of each other. One for 20.59 the other for 17.00. They were returned nsf. I went to the gas station to give him money for the checks but he want the nsf fees as well. I did not have it. A week ago i ran a red light and was aressted for this. I have court on Dec 3. I have never been in trouble nor had any other issues with my bank account after this. What can I expect?
