Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
I noticed that my brother had been taking money from me with my debit card. He stole $400 for his drug habit. I want to know how I press charges? If I do will I get money to replace what I have lost?

Call the police. They will be able to assist you. Your brother will owe you what he took as restitution if he is convicted. Good luck. www.kliszlaw.com Tim Klisz
He would also owe restittuion even if he is given a diversion program, like the Holmes Youthful Trainee Act status (which can result in the case being dismissed by the court after a successful probation period).
"Full Restitution" is mandated by the crime victim's rights act in all cases where the outcome is something other than a trial acquittal or an unconditional dismissal of the case by the prosecutor or court.
