Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

Obstruction of Police Officer

I was pulled over for driving with no lights on. I saw the flashing light behind me. I put my right turn signal on to indicate I was going to pull over. I drove for four blocks so I could pull over at a gas station. I did well on sobriety test and blew .04 (half limit). Police found nothing during search of car. I was arrested for ''Obstruction'' and put in jail untill I made bond. The officer said I was lucky because I should have gotten ''flee and evade'' beause I didn't stop immediately when I saw the lights. I have a court date coming soon. I am a college graduate and I have a good job as a contractor for the Department of Defense. I have absolutely no criminal offenses on my record and I don't want one on my record. What can I do?

If you have no prior record, there are ways to get what you want. Most lawyers will give you a no charge consultation.

Regardless, do not plead guilty at your arraignment.
