Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
First offense
My son was arrested last night because he broke a window at a fire department - for no apparent reason - this is his first offense. We are in the state of Michigan. What do you foresee happening to him?

Re: First offense
If he's 17 or over, 1 year probation, $500 fines and costs, charge dismissed after completion of probation, no record.
If he's under 17, about the same in a different court.
i.e. if it's done right.

It's not possible to answer this questions without MUCH more information.
Trying to diagnose a criminal case on a web site is like trying to diagnose an illness on the web. It just can't be done accurately.
Hire an experienced attorney for you son to protect him.
