Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
I have an outstanding bench warrant for a misdemeanor from 4 years ago. I need to go to the secretary of state to apply for a state ID card. Will I be arrested? Will my warrant show up on the clerk's computer and the staff notify police?

I strongly advise that you go to court and resolve the warrant before going to the Secretary of State. The chances are good that you will not be locked up if you appear voluntarily with an attorney. If you get arrested, plan on spending some time in jail.
