Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
overturning a felony conviction
I pleaded ''no contest'' over a year ago to ''attempting to file a false report of a felony'' Is there any way in the world to get this overturned. I know my 42 days for an appeal are long gone. (Michigan).
An individual is willing to go underoath and admit complete responsibility. I am a former police officer w/ over 15 years experience and have a flawless background.

Re: overturning a felony conviction
You could file a motion to set aside conviction, which may or not be heard by the Judge. Otherwise, you have to wait until 5 years have elapsed, then you can follow the expungement statute to try and get it set aside. Visit www.kliszlaw.com to contact me and discuss further. Tim Klisz
