Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
past due car note
Can I sue an x-boyfriend for a car that I purchased in my name, that he has in his possession, and that he has not paid the note on for more than 6 months or would I be betteroff reporting it stolen?

Re: past due car note
If you gave him the car to use, you cannot report it as stolen. Without knowing more, this sounds more like a civil issue and the police will probably not get involved and, if they do, he could end up suing you. If you contact my office, I may be able to help you with this.
