Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
Pending Charge
I was questioned by the police in August 2006 about an alledged activity.
I have not been charged yet.
The company wants me charged, the prosecutor does not.
How long do I have to worry about future legal action?

Re: Pending Charge
If the prosecutor has declined prosecution, it's normally over.

Re: Pending Charge
Assuming your "activity" is embezzlement, it may take time to put a case together -- especially if your ex-employer is a poor record-keeper. The statute of limitations is 6 years.
I'd be curious to know why you believe that the prosecutor is on your side.
