Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
What can a person do if they have 2 felonies to set a side a conviction. I had a bad attorney I got charged with u & p 22 years ago for $18.00 on a credit card that was not mind and I got 90 days in jail and 5 years probation on my first and only time in the hot seat with the law, while I was in jail that came back and hit me with count 2 just for having the card. But because the attorney didn't stop them with I made my plea they hit me I have not been near a crime or jail since then what or is there anything I can do?
Thanks

You have to get one of the convictions dismissed, then you can ask to get the other one expunged. The law states that you can only have one conviction then you allowed to request it to be set aside. You need an attorney because this will take some work to achieve. For more information see www.micriminaldefense.com
You are only allowed 1 conviction to be set aside (certain convictions can not be expunged at all). The is a new bill (not law yet) being introduced now to increase the number of convictions allowed to be expunged. However, there are ways to have this other conviction set aside by bringing filing motions. Contact Daniel Hajji at Attorneys of Michigan, 248.865.4700. Good Luck
