Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

Petition for writ of mandamus and / or prohibition

I am in the process of Writing a Writ of Mandamus and / or Prohibition to be sent to the Supreme Court or 6 Cuircuit Court in a criminal matter. As a procedure it is always good to mention what the person is charged with. But, I would like to know if mentioning the U.S. Codes that a person is charged with would be a general appearance instead of a special appearance.

Re: Petition for writ of mandamus and / or prohibition

First, your question doesn't make any sense. "mentioning the U.S. Codes that a person is charged with" is neither "a general appearance" nor a "special appearance." Second, a Writ of Mandamus is normally not filed in the Supreme Court of the 6 Cuircuit (sic) Court.

I recommend that you hire an attorney before you make yourself look silly.
