Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
police
I was arrested for domestic assault in the city of Warren. When they got me to the station and I was being searched, my hands on the wall. I am going to use my exact words I told the officer doing the search to leave my F****** nuts alone. After saying that I was tackled to the ground and pepper sprayed in the face. They then cuffed me to a chair, my wrists very tightly secure. When the cuffs were taken off to go get fingerprinted, the person conducting the fingerprinting had called the sageant down to take a look at my wrists and offered me asprin. Is there a suit I can file against the city. My domestic assault charge is now going to trial, it has not yet been resolved. My wife does not want to pursue the case in fact she does not even want to go to court, but I am sure she will be subpeonaed. Thank you for any responses

Re: police
If you complained about the cuffs being too tight, they had a duty to loosen them. Your letter does not say when this occurred. Nerve damage from handcuff injuries can be very serious. I have handled many similar cases.
