Police Questioning at Place of Employment
My dad owns a business and the police have been pulling one of his employees out of work for questioning. My dad doesn't mind the employee being questioned, however, the police come in when the place is very busy and it doesn't look good to his customers. Can the police pull an employee away from his job without a warrant or permission to ask questions?

Re: Police Questioning at Place of Employment
Your father would be interfering with a police investigation (a misdemeanor) if he obstruucted a police officer.
The employee would be the only one who can decline to discuss a matter with the police. However, it would not be a good idea for your father to order the employee to refuse to cooperate.
If the police were trying to delberately disrupt your father's business for some other reason, that would be another matter.
