If i got pulled over and a cop found a ounce of pot and didn't give me a ticket can i still be charged?

Yes. Possession of marijuana is a misdemeanor charge that a prosecutor has to issue on a complaint/warrant ... you can't get "ticketed" for it. Unlike TV shows and movies, police offices do not 'charge' you. Prosecutors do. Sometimes, the charge is issued quickly, and sometimes it takes months (if, for example, results form a lab analysis of the 'green leafy substance' is pending).

The pot is likely being analyzed at at the State Police crime lab before charges are issued. The lab is pretty backed up right now so it might take a little while for the warrant to come out.
