Re: probation violation?

We'd have to see your exact list of probation terms to give a better answer. Sometimes the devil's in the details.

In general, I doubt that you would be risking a probation violation unless you were knowingly associating with people on probation or with felony records (and that was prohibited under your probation terms), or you were in a gathering where drugs were being used by others (again, assumning that that was prohibited).

As far as you being charged, there is a misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge re: "frequenting a drug house". So it's possible that you could be charged with that, but without more facts it's hard to predict.

Sometimes people are just in the wrong place at the wrong time. But, other times, people don't change their friends and they put themselves in situations where they are one the periphery of trouble being committed by other. While you're on probation, it's best to keep as far away as possible from the periphery of trouble so you avoid even the appearance that you are not leading a lawful life.

Sometimes it's also best to be proactive with your probation officer and tell him/her about the incident ASAP so he/she hears about it from you and not from a police report or a complaint/warrant.

Re: probation violation?

It is possible that you could be charged with frequenting a drug house. I recommend hiring an aggressive attorney BEFORE being charged. The goal is to try to avoid charges.
