Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
The prosecuton attorney sits on a board (company 1). The CEO of this company(company 1) sits on the board of another comany (company 2) Is it conflict of interest if the Prosecuting Attoney charges a ex-employee of company 2 with a crime?

No. There doesn't seem to be any conflicts of interest in this scenario. It's an ex-employee from a company the prosecutor has no ties to. I have a bigger problem with the prosecutor being a member of any board of directors that could raise these types of questions. They should not be able to hold private positions in companies when serving public office.
