If a prostitute asks a cop, are you a cop and he says no, is that admissible?

What would it be admissible for? It may be admissible evidence, but so what? It doesn't really prove or disprove the case at hand which is whether or not the defendant agreed to engage in or solicited prostitution. The police can legally lie. They are not obligated to answer truthfully that they are the police. If that were not the case, it would be nearly impossible for the police to do any kind of meaningful undercover work or sting operations.
