Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

I put a cable bill in my mothers name for 2 months with her permission but she is 90 yrs old and doesnt rememeber giving me permission. Now I am being charged with Identy theft which is a felony. I dont want a felonly on my record I took the cobbs plea but am wondering if I should take it to a jury trial. What will happen if I am found guilty by the jury

These are all decisions you are going to have to make with your lawyer who is familiar with the case. What was the Cobbs Agreement? Have you been sentenced yet? It is much more difficult to withdraw a plea after sentencing as opposed to before sentencing. Just keep in mind that if you get your motion granted, you could end up in a better position or you could end up in a worse position. Time is of the essence so I would be arranging a consultation with a lawyer very soon.
