Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
If i am put on probation because of a Misdemeanor, Am i able to go out of town?
i have to leave due to a family emergency but it will be for about three weeks.
Can i ask if i can report at a later date? or NO?

You ought to ask your Judge and/or your probation officer for permission. Don't just leave without informing the Court. Doing so may land you in a new charge of "violation of probation". Also, be sure to have proof of the emergency. Hope all is well with the 'family' matter. Good Luck

Probation is a form of punishment for which you must ask permission for a number of things that an ordinary citizen takes for granted.
You must show your probation officer verifiable evidence that a family emergency exists.
