Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

My question is how can a court appointed criminal attorney drop a client at trial stage in michigan with out the court or Attorney contacting the clian till after the Court grants the Attorney leave of the case?

He shouldn't. In addition to my private practice I do court appointed attorney work as well. A court appointed attorney could only withdraw from a case after making a motion to withdraw and having the motion granted by the trial court judge.

Additionally, the court appointed attorney could theoretically motion the court without notifying the client only if the attorney was not able to get ahold of the client and if the client did not properly inform his attorney of his address or phone number to get in touch with him.
