I don't think I've ever heard the term supplemental sentencing. The case could have been dismissed in circuit court without prejudice and if they wish to pursue the case again they would have to start over again in district court. Or, it could be that they felt they could not proceed with a felony so it was remanded back to district court to pursue a misdemeanor case. If you do not have a lawyer, you need to get one soon.
