Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
I received hyta around 6 months ago, for a 1 year sentence on felony marijuana charges. I've done all my required classes, fines, got reaccepted into college, and so on and stayed clean. Me and my transfered probation officer believe I should try to get dismissed early from probation. What are the chances of that happening, and can I get a longer sentence for trying to get off early. I was also sentenced in big Rapids, MI but was transfered to Livingston County, MI

They can't use your request as a reason to lengthen your probation. Only probation violations can extend your probation. It is worth petitioning the judge for early termination as the worst that can happen is he will deny the request. It is always better if you have been fully compliant, all your fines and costs are paid, and your PO is in support of your early termination.
