Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

I recently applied for an apartment I was turned down because of a non violent felony

that is over 10 years old. Can I get the felony removed from my record or conceled?

and if so I do I get it removed?

If you have only one criminal conviction ever, you can apply to have it made non-public under statute. Please contact me at www.kliszlaw.com to discuss. Tim Klisz

Yes, you can have it expunged or set aside. Once the felony is expunged, the apartment manager/owner will not be able to have access to your prior felony conviction. In order to qualify for an expungement, you must meet certain requirements. There are many procedures to follow. Your best bet is to hire an attorney who can help you expedite this process and avoid mistakes, complications or delays.
