Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
I was recently charged with retail fraud in the third degree and this is my first offense. I have a court date at the court in Novi tomorrow. I don't have a lawyer, so I was wondering if I should just plead not guilty for the first court date so I can get an additional court date to get the time to get a lawyer or what not? I don't know what to do, I'm completely in the dark here. I was also wondering if on my first court date they would drug test?
