Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

I recently received a MIP in Grand Rapids and have a hearing at the 61st district ct. I was very cooperative with the cops. What are my consequences and is there a way I can get it off my record, I also go to college in Vermont so how would this affect things. The catch is I was caught with 1st degree Retail Fraud last year but I used HYTA and completed successfully and it should be off my record. How does that interact with the new MIP and will it be brought back?

You are too young to have caught two criminal cases already. You should hire an experienced criminal defense firm to help you through this problem.

HYTA is available more than once. The statute does not forbid a Judge using HYTA more than once. Further, there may be other programs which may be available to prevent you from having a criminal record. However, your first step is getting an attorney who can thoroughly evaluate your case as there may be constitutional violations which can result in a dismissal.
