Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

Remove Felony Conviction From Record

Hello,

My husband got a felony marijuana charge over 10 years ago, when he was 19 years old in Michigan. Now we live in Alaska, and he hasn't had any convictions since then. Is there any way to remove the felony charge from his record?

It may be possible to expunge the conviction from his record if he has had only one criminal conviction in his lifetime.

If your husband has only one conviction for any crime (including drunk driving) Go to this link:

http://courts.michigan.gov/scao/courtforms/generalcriminal/mc227.pdf

and fill out the form. Then contact me by email or telephone and I'll tell you how this can be done.

In most cases, your husband will not have to return to Michigan.
