Yes. You have to file a petition with the court who convicted him outlining the basis for your request and there are several criteria that he needs to meet in order for the petition to be granted. Not all convictions qualify the person to come off the list - but offhand (based on my experience), I can say that yes, your husband is likely eligible to file the petition and has a good chance of having it granted.

Some crimes are exempt and you cannot file a petition. For example, if someone is convicted of CSC I, and the victim was more than 5 years younger, you cannot get off the registry - and are barred from even filing a petition.

I'd have to know the EXACT facts and circumstances of the conviction, including what exactly he was convicted of, to determine if he is even eligible to file the petition.
