I'd be enlightened to know the reason for your desire to file a police report stating that you had filed a false police report.

The usual reason is a woman's remorse over calling the police on her husband/boyfriend for domestic assault. She wants a do-over to explain that it didn't really happen like she said even though she signed a written statement that it did..

The problem with this is that 1. Filing a false report is a crime which, unlike domestic violence, will go on your record. 2. He'll still be prosecuted because do-overs are ignored, but his case will be dismissed after a year's probation. 3. You'll likely admit that you were the actual cause , i.e. admitting that the cops should have taken you away.

Just something to think about the next time you invite the State of Michigan to resolve problems in your personal relationships.
