Restitution Offer-in-Comprimise?
I plead guilty of 1 count of bank fraud for hiring my sister's business to do work for a mortgage company where I worked. I received the minimum allowable sentence with restitution of $70,000.00 I have been making $50 a month as set up by the judge. I am now off probation and remember the judge saying that after probation, the collection is up to the civil courts. My friends and in-laws are willing to put up some money if the bank would take it as payment in full. Can this be done if they agree?
