retail fraud 1,2 and 3rd degree
I sign a written statement by store
lost pervetion on 11/21/08. they told me that they have video of me eating something that was not payed for i asked to see the video but they did not show it to me.i worked at this store for two years i told them that i did not do it. they had me to thing that they looking for someone els so i thursted them an signed that letter they wrote and gave them tweetyfive dollars.three weaks later i get a letter from olonoff asen law firm asking me for $200.00 by 01/10/09 and could be charge for criminal proscution for alleged retail fraud.

This letter is a very common occurance in a retail fraud situation. Under Michigan law, the store has a civil right to collect the $200.00, which has absolutely nothing to do with whether there is a criminal case. Signing this letter was silly. You should have consulted with an attorney before doing anything. I recommend you hire an experienced lawyer BEFORE you do anything else to harm yourself. For more information, go to:
