Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
Retail Theft.
I was charged with 2nd degree retail fraud. First offense. I am 17 years old. Shirts and bra's were taken from Macy's Department store in about $213.00. I have a court date tomorrow. Please someone help me. I don't know what to expect. I am currently unemployed, but am an active church volunteer. I know, why did I steal, right? I am pleading guilty. Will I go to jail?

You obviously have no idea of what you're doing and presumably have no funds to hire a lawyer.
There is a way to keep this off your record and to do this, plead not guilty at your arraignment and ask for a court appointed lawyer.
