Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan
search and siezure
acting on an annonomys tip the police searched my brother-inlaws property and found 3 small pot plants. they did not have a search warrant,nor were the plants in plain view. they were found behind a barn where there is no visability whatsoever, he denies knowing of the plants but the tipster knew exactly where they were. is he responsabile and can they search without a warrant?
